A piece of crap in KVM switches

Most of the time this thing is just a bunch of useless extra cables. Switching to channel 2 usually shows a static screen (haven't seen anything like this since the old cables) and not another computer's screen. Pulling the plug doesn't help, switching doesn't help either. And that doesn't always happen, but mostly. The stereo jack doesn't work either.
