A few notes to verify my review. I'm a runner so my review is for basic use. Second, I use Apple products, I have a MacBook Air and iTunes as my main computer. I've had several Apple's Shuffles and Nanos and the Shuffle has been the best performing product up to that point. except that when the shuffle gets wet it goes out. Since your body sweats on long runs, I can do 3 to 4 shuffles a year. I know there are ways to make the Shuffle waterproof, but I haven't done it. Another issue with the Shuffle is that it doesn't have an FM radio (which Clip Jam does). I know there is an Apple Nano with FM radio BUT it doesn't have a built in product clip and I wanted something smaller for the Shuffle that I could clip to my running shirt without weighing my clothes down. Low requirements, small size so I can stream my music from iTunes and I have FM radio except for Clip Jam. do. And in terms of sound quality, I don't find any difference in quality between Apple Shuffle and Clip Jam. And my main goal of having something with FM radio has been achieved. Clip Jam did a great job with all of my favorite local stations. On the plus side, you can set up stations for easy swapping on the fly. It's true that the Clip Jam doesn't have a metal body like the Apple Shuffle. It is made of plastic-like material. but it doesn't feel cheap or break easily. it just feels light which is what I wanted for my runs. It also has the possibility of using a microSDHC card to expand the 8 GB already present. This makes it easier to load a lot of music for longer runs where you might need more variety. It also has a screen for browsing and filing your music into folders, making it easy to organize on the go. And to top it off, it's not expensive. I was able to purchase the Clip Jam for $5 less compared to the Shuffle. A very small price to pay to focus on running to life-saving music. I like it! I'm a Clip Jam fan, of course. this will be my new running music product now.
