I'll start with why I bought this bag. I'm a freshman student who screwed up financially in the first semester and decided to take a more minimalist path in the second semester. Success after spending the whole hiatus saving money for Surface 6. Only three of my classes didn't have an e-book, one I already have, one I can borrow from friends, and another is a bit bulky. I basically went paperless, with just a three-ring binder for handouts and some homework sheets that I had to physically turn in. The only backpacks I had were big and bulky. Knowing myself, I would put papers in my bag and stop being organized. So I found my little bag I got from an Alcatraz tour a few years ago and it barely fit in my binder and laptop. I had to carry my textbooks and anything else I needed (I'm a girl so these weeks of fun were VERY fun). So, hello Revane, let's begin my search. I found many interesting backpacks and messenger bags and only 3 caught my eye. One had horrible reviews about it falling apart, another was for 17 inch laptops and I'm barely 13. Then there was this bag. It was cheap, decent reviews, perfect size (judging by the description and photos). Why not? When I got home from the morning session, I switched immediately. It fit in my laptop, binders, and textbook for my next class with less fuss than stuffing two of my things in my other bag. I still had room for my charger, fun stuff, headphones, my wallet, a damn pencil (it has those little side pockets for stationery and I LOVE them) and my wallet! It doesn't fit in my other class's bulky book, but I don't mind. The bag itself isn't overly heavy, wish it was a tad lighter and wish it had padding for the shoulder, but other than those two things, it feels like a really solid bag. I'll give it a month or two to update its review, but for now I'm really enjoying it. Highly recommend if you are looking for a medium sized bag! UPDATE 02/23/19. Holds up great. I REALLY wish the strap was padded and I'm starting to wish the mesh pocket on the side was a bit more stretchy to fit a travel mug. In the future I will figure out how to make a shoulder pad with my own hands. UPDATE 02/10/19. I'm really surprised. Still like new. I found that the pen holders on the side were open at both ends, thinking the pen would get stuck there forever until it fell out from the bottom. My only complaint, however, is the lack of a shoulder pad! Also, I still wear my school stuff in this bad boy!
