Review on Black/Tan Solo New 🖤 York Duane Hybrid Laptop Briefcase by Ricardo Anderson

I'll start by saying that I really like this bag. I'm not giving a 5/5 because I'm a tough critic and this is so close to perfection! I'm a young professional, so if you're looking to use this bag as a mobile workstation solution, I have a few opinions on this bag that may help: POCKET SIZE + SPACE: I was hesitant to buy it because some reviews said so was was too big; but if you look closely at some of these ratings, reviewers will concede that they're not very high. I'm only 5ft 9" but it fits me perfectly. I have to admit that I have a pretty solid build (broad shoulders and "big bones". I'm working on that), but this bag will look just right for someone with a slim build. If you are at least 5 feet 2 inches tall I think you will be fine. It is also very nice to see a spacious space inside. I use it with my Surface Book (13 inch with leather case) and it fits comfortably in the laptop compartment. Also, it leaves plenty of room in the main compartment for my large external keyboard (because I don't like my laptop keyboard getting dirty/dirty), mouse, 10 inch tablet + tablet keyboard and charger. The exterior pockets help me store an alternative (slimmer) mouse, lens tissues, a pen, a power bank for my phone, extra batteries for my keyboard and mouse, a glasses case, and I/O buttons for my laptop. BAG SPATIAL USE: My only complaint about the bag and its use of space is that I wish there were more pockets, or maybe more pockets with compartments. Some places seem too empty and I have a hard time organizing all my small gadgets. I have to let her knock. STYLE + CONSTRUCTION: Despite this, this is a somewhat masculine bag. I don't mean it's too professional because women can be professional + beautiful too. As it's more relaxed, darker and a bit grittier, it might not be right for the busy, working woman. Even as a man I think I can get away with it; it is not well structured/constructed to look acceptable in any professional environment. There is too much "school bag". It would also make a pretty cool school bag, but as a school bag it might look a bit out of place. Man or woman, you can look like a tool pulling it out in class. But whatever floats on your boat! Coming back to the build quality, the fabric used is very cheap. It's strong but thin. What annoys me the most is that other laptop briefcases are soft and thick, making them heavy and bulky (and less roomy). As I mentioned, I already have a leather laptop sleeve; it is well protected and I take good care of my pockets. My bag doesn't have to look like a Michelin man. It's not very comfortable to carry around and it doesn't look very good. This bag fits! It has enough padding to keep the item intact and not enough to make it look like you're carrying an insulated lunch box for an entire kindergarten class. Verdict: This bag sacrifices some protection for style, but it's worth it if you don't sometimes mistake your bags for footballs or trampolines. CRITICISM ON THE DESIGN OF THE BAG: The worst thing about this bag is the cheap plastic swivel. Hook for attaching shoulder straps to the bag. They seem very out of place considering how well made the rest of the bag is. Because I have broad shoulders, sometimes when I try to put on a backpack and slip my other hand in, it exerts enough pressure at a right angle to rip the bag off the hook. I mean I think because I have my other hand on the other belt it's okay, but I'm scared that one day I'll drop the bag. It's also a hassle to re-tie the strap. I also feel like an idiot in front of others. It will likely only get worse over time as the plastic hooks wear out. I'll probably go to a tailor or something to replace them with metal swivel hooks. If Solo makes another one of these bags with metal hooks and generally stronger strap materials, I'll buy them in a heartbeat! Also at a higher price! I hope my review has helped some of you make a decision. I'm very happy with this purchase, but it may not be for everyone.
