Perfect fit for me. I basically just plugged it into a port, activated it online via a website and it started tracking. Not sure if this applies to all cars, but my car needs to be on to activate the port, so it only sees it when the car is on. I'm in Hawaii and I'm a bit concerned if there's a satellite connection or something, but it works fine here too. You can go to the reports page (once enabled) and see reports of when it started and when it turned off. You can even open the map and see where you've been during the day. I am very impressed with this device. First tracker I've ever had in my car and it's pretty cool.
