Review on Prismacolor 3722 Premier Double-Ended Art 🎨 Markers Review - Fine and Chisel Tip, 72-Count by Doris Tran

I bought it on lightning deal over a year ago. It's finally time for a review. I have over 100 copies and bought a prism to supplement my copies. Sometimes when I need to paint a large area I prefer prisms just because they are a bit cheaper to use. They're very similar to Copics, so if you want a cheaper replacement I'd recommend buying one if it's available. However, it seems that recently the price for them has become much higher, almost as much as for the kopiks. I still recommend kopiks instead if the difference is only in dollars. Cons: 1. They are not refillable. The markers last quite a long time, but after 1-2 months of continuous use of my favorite colors, I noticed that the lighter colors fade much faster than the darker ones. Blue ones, especially PM-48 and PM-145, were enough for about 2-3 drawings 9x11. Black only lasted 1 to 1/2 of the draw. I should have gotten a black replacement right away but got a Faber-Castell replacement instead, they seem to last longer on the black end.2. There's no brush tip and the colors seem to spread out a lot more compared to copies made with regular or watercolor paper. With marker blocks, they don't mix as easily as with Copics.3. Metallic sucks, I think it was 2 or 3? Metal markers and they were terrible. I've had all of these markers since I bought them except for the metal ones. I used it once, closed it, tried to use it the next day and it was completely dry. I wasn't able to get the pigment out of them, it was like a one time use. I ended up throwing away all the metallics because they were useless. A kind of continuation of the drying of the markers. For some reason grayscale prisms like PM 114 and PM 98, 159 don't last as long as the colored variant. Same for black, for greyscale, copics which I've had for over 3 years without refilling seemed to last much longer than prisms with equal use. Pros: 1. Lasts a while with the same brightness if you use it occasionally. They're not durable at all under heavy use, but if you use certain colors once or twice they'll still last a long time. I've had it for over a year now and I've touched the dark green PM-32 maybe once or twice. It still works well and doesn't dry out in a hat.2. If you have Copics, they mix with them easily, but you can tell it's not the same formula. Some Prisma colors "stick" and have more luminosity than Copics. This is both a minus and a plus, but if you want a really darker accent color then using prisms is a great tool with copi.3. Good deal if you can get them on sale. They are easy to work with and mix as well as copics. Again, when it comes to blending, I think Copics is a lot better because these colors stick a little more. Generally buy these when they're on sale, but overall I think Copics still holds the crown for best alcohol markers. .
