We received our FreshFit Queen mattress topper earlier than expected. We washed it in cold water and air dried it before use, no problem. It fits perfectly on our 14 inch queen size mattress, no wrinkles. While we didn't have to "test" its water resistance (better to have it and not use it than to need it and not have it), we can say we love how thin it is - we know not even that it is there. Very high-quality workmanship, both in terms of workmanship and materials. It seems fairly breathable - so far we haven't noticed any wrinkles or creases, nor have we noticed heat build-up or slipperiness due to night sweats using just a sheet between the tread and us. So far it's a great product - much better than the one we replaced (which cost a little more, stopped moisture seeping through the top layer in warm humid summers, and only lasted two years before refilling). to unravel - never had the chance to know if it's waterproof.).
