Works when connected directly to the TV's HDMI input. This is useful to know. I originally thought this RCA to HDMI converter wouldn't work, but I connected it to a 5-to-1 HDMI switch with the switch's output connected to one of the TV's HDMI inputs (I wanted to use this switch to control all inputs). My portable VCR worked with its Red/White/Yellow plugged directly into the TV. I thought the converter wasn't working when I connected it to the TV via the 5 to 1 switch I had. But then it dawned on me. my HDMI 5 to 1 switch is very inexpensive. My HDMI 5-to-1 switch may not have very sensitive inputs. Or the HDMI output from RCA to HDMI may not be very powerful either. So I tried connecting the output of the RCA to HDMI converter directly to the HDMI input of the TV and I could see the output on the TV just fine. The unit works fine, just not with my inexpensive HDMI 5-to-1 switch. So I'll leave the RCA to HDMI switch as I've tested it and know it works. It was pretty cheap so it will only be in my gadgets box to use elsewhere. Delivery was ok and the device works.
