Probably one of the best things I've ever bought, also a self torture device. Yes, it hurts, and yes, sometimes you have to make an effort, but it's worth it. I used to have so many razor burns and never had acne again after that. The sensitive guard actually "reduces" the pain, but sometimes I take it off to get rid of stubborn hairs around the bikini area, if you press too hard the red light comes on. I've tried other epilators and couldn't even stand it for a few seconds, this one beats them all. I do arms, legs, armpits and down there. I would also say that my arms and legs don't hurt at all when using it, it's more of a scratchy feeling, they're tender spots that are "painful". Overall I am so happy with this purchase.
