I bought this monitor probably 2 or 3 years ago. And until recently everything was fine. It first lost power a few weeks ago and I figured that was a separate issue. But that evening he lost his strength for a while. It eventually turned back on when I checked for other switches that might have been on the back. The power cord is firmly connected to the outlet and the monitor. I didn't have any problems with other devices either. So there was no obvious reason to turn it off and eventually turn it back on. I've been chatting with a Samsung rep for a while hoping for some helpful advice. Apparently he just typed the script. He definitely didn't read my messages to him. If he were him and he understood what he was doing, he wouldn't make such suggestions because they don't make sense. After a while he just wanted me to send the unit back to Samsung which would mean I would go 5-14 business days without a monitor. I've owned several different monitors over the years. And so far every monitor has lasted as long as a computer. And for me it is very long. That this device started failing after only 2 or 3 years was unexpected. I really expected a lot more from Samsung.
