Installed the mount last night. It seems to hold our 55 inch TV, but the main stand doesn't stay stable and tilts. The main frame would have been better if it had the ability to lock it at the anchor point. In general, the bracket should hold the TV well. enough of the ceiling. We had just installed a stone fireplace and didn't want to drill holes to mount a TV. I placed the bracket about 1" from the wall but had to place it about 3" from the wall due to the tilt of the main post as it now rests on the rock making it very difficult to connect to the outlet, which is located at the to the right of the post.
