Review on 🌟 Top-Notch DisplayPort Thunderbolt Compatible Display - Gold Plated Excellence! by Jim Bethea

Misleading: Seller says 4K. You will most likely need an active Mini DisplayPort to 4K adapter.

First of all, 4K doesn't matter with cables. All can handle 4K but won't give you 4K. It depends on the source. You will most likely need an active Mini DisplayPort to HDMI adapter to get 4K from your Mini DisplayPort. And here this cable does not help. Worse still, there are versions of DisplayPort 1.1 and 1.2. If your graphics card is 1.1 DP, make sure the adapter you get is not just 1.2. Obviously there are graphics cards that contain active processing. Thunderbolt and possibly cards including something called Dual Mode DisplayPort (DP++). If this is yours, then this cable is fine. Search the internet for ways to get 4K from your particular graphics card. I? I have a pair of ATI 5770 graphics cards in my 2010 Mac Pro. Active DP to HDMI cables give me two 4K monitors. Not being a true expert, I stumbled upon the seller's promise to say their cable is 4K. It didn't help.
