This EGR valve continues to set code P0401 even after replacing the faulty original GM EGR valve that caused the code to set. (My original valve was 21 years old). Either this valve is NOT calibrated for the 3800 Series 2 engine (as advertised) or it is so inferior in build quality that the GM computer does not recognize it. I do not recommend this valve to anyone. My P0401 code only stopped firing the Check Engine light after I installed a higher quality EGR valve from Standard Motor Products.
