After months of talking about making my own workbook, buying the necessary materials and never getting around to it, I thought the $20 book might be worth a try and more cost effective. I bought this for my 3 year old son who is undergoing early intervention although we have just used it for the first time in speech therapy. My son loves this book and it's a great tool for practicing direction, speaking, the alphabet, colors etc. It's well made - cardboard/laminated/no sharp edges on parts, with added velcro in case you replace any need an extra sleeve/bag to store parts, comes in a sturdy cardboard box for storage when not in use and has a pen - my son can easily find it among his toys/books and bring it to me if he wants to open it and play , i.e. several times a day. I just want them to make fruit/veg their theme, animals another. There is also a topic page for weather-dependent article selection. Was it confusing for an adult? I also thought the seasons page could use better pictures. But I'm picky! All in all a good choice for children.
