I have lived in hot and humid Southwest Florida now for over 30 years. Thatt means that you always have to have a pair of good sunglasses with you when going out into the sunshine. And as you get older, as your closer vision denigrates, chances are that you will need to have reading glasses with you all the time. So I got used to always having two pair of glasses hanging faround my neck. Both the sunglasses and reading glasses are always with me and the chance of loss is small since they never leave my neck.After trying dozens of different designs over the years with several different loop configurations, it became obvious to me that having a loop to fasten around your glasses is the best way to make your lanyards last longer. The lanyards that require feeding the bows into the ends of the cloth loops eventually cause the bows to slide out as the ends loosen up. The type that have plastic connectors (instead of cloth) eventually get brittle and break. And the cable type sticks out behind your neck and are always in the way.So it's the adjustable loop on these Premium Eco glasses lanyards that seem to last the longest -- as long as you take the time to adjust the size of the loop before trying to force the bow of your glasses into them. It's the best design, but at $3.00 for a lanyard they aren't built to take much abuse. The positive side of that of course is that they only cost $3.00. One other thing. There is no natural leather in this product. Although they feel smooth and do not have a rough texture, they are made of cloth and other materials. That's another plus for hot weather wear since these lanyards won't start to stink when the user gets all sweaty.
