Doesn't last long on hair care product

Two weeks ago I dyed the bottom part of my hair Dark Intense Indigo. I've been painting this area blue-black for years and wanted a little more blue but still a darker color. It seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. I used a bowl and a colored brush to apply the paint. I never use the applicators that come with them as I always find them dirty. This might be why I haven't had any drip issues as some others have said. Everything went smoothly and my bathroom didn't look like a bag of paint had just exploded. I made sure the hair was soaked and let it sit for the allotted time. During the rinse, the water wasn't dark like some of the other colors I've used and didn't cause any problems with staining the tub. The color that got on my skin washed off easily (I always put petroleum jelly on my hairline and neck before applying color) and didn't leave any major blemishes on my skin. Thanks to the conditioner, my hair became soft and the ends didn't get damaged. It was good. Now for the bad. Didn't quite get it. Luckily it's only the bottom part of my hair, but where the color didn't hold there was staining, a problem I've never experienced before. Even after two weeks, I still see color residue on the towel after washing my hair. Although initially I got the color I was looking for, dark with subtle but noticeable blue tones, it seems to wash out fairly quickly leaving only a blackish brown. I've always been able to hold color well so this is a little disappointing. I don't think I will buy this color again.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
