First of all, I've had this shoe since 2002. I buy at least one pair a year. It seems that over the last year the country where they are made has changed. With this change, these shoes are terribly uncomfortable. I bought 2 pairs at a time last fall to wear every other day. A brown pair and a black pair. I wore them every other day for a while and found that my legs hurt and felt tight on the days I wore the black pair. I once wore a brown pair with no problems. Well, I realized I had old stocks of brown ones made in China and black ones made in Vietnam. Needless to say, the brown pair is almost worn out and the black pair sits in my closet looking almost brand new. A few weeks ago I ordered another brown pair hoping the black pair was just a fluke. No, they're just as uncomfortable as my black pair, and yes, they're made in Vietnam. Merrell changed these shoes when they changed the country where they are made. Shame on you. After wearing comfortable shoes for almost 17 years, I am now looking for something different.
