The aquarium itself is amazing. The glass is so clear I've never seen anything like it and I've been keeping fish for 30 years. Sitting next to my regular 20 gallon jar really shows how much nicer the jar is, how much better you can see what's inside. And the front curve is nicely done. The beauty of the tank makes it worth the money to me and I would buy it without all the extras, none of which I use except for the plexiglass lid. Now the bad news: the light is pretty dull. I have a size 3.4 with black light. None of the images you see capture the cheap ugliness of this flashlight. The bendable arm is so poorly designed that it would be almost impossible to get it perfectly placed directly over the top of the tank and if you did, a light touch would cause it to move and tip over. Forget about having to separate it from the wall, which of course is cumbersome. But I solved the lighting problem by placing an extra light behind the tank with a light on top that works great. I didn't even use clips on the thin plexiglass sheet. I just put a cap on the tank which looks great and keeps the minimalistic look. The top of the shirt is exposed by more than an inch. I have a lid that is about 1/2 inch from the back and 1/2 inch from the front which makes it easy to feed from the front. I have 2 rights so I can't use them if I want. The filter might be ok, I haven't tried it based on comments here and elsewhere. I prefer to use these beautiful black sponge filters with an air pump that has an adjustable flow valve to reduce airflow. My Betta is fine with a few bubbles on top as there is no flow in the tank. It probably seems odd that I gave it 4 stars considering the tank is the only one I used from the set. But since I bought it for an aquarium and knew there would be issues with everything else, I should rate it mostly on what's important to me, although I had to deduct a star due to poor light quality. Edited to add: I emailed PennPlax that the clips were incorrect and they responded within half an hour and mailed the clips the next day with no questions asked. I was also able to easily order a replacement plexiglass sheet. Posted the next day. Very impressive customer service.
