Review on πŸ”Œ Enhanced Logitech K270 Wireless Keyboard with Extended Wireless Range by Yung Kaelin

Step back into technology.

A technological step backwards (except for the Unifying receiver). But that's why I bought it. I used the Logitech K780 multifunction keyboard, which is a good keyboard, but for work (at home) I got tired of using the function key to access the F keys. It doesn't seem like much, but when used 9+ hours a day this becomes one of them. Even something as simple as a dedicated button to print the screen, which I use a lot during my workday, is nice to have. The size and layout of the K270 keyboard are similar to those used by HP desktop keyboards. at work. So the transition from working at home to work is becoming smoother. The merging function associated with an existing receiver is already used with the Logitech mouse (M570). The pairing was easy and fluid. Before pairing and after turning on the keyboard, there is no power indicator to show that the batteries are fresh. However, upon pairing, the keyboard "came to life" and started to work without any problems (there's still no power indicator on the keyboard itself). So be wary if you think this keyboard will break on arrival, as some reviewers have pointed out (although I have no other reason to dismiss their experience). Key travel is definitely longer than the K780 and also louder, more like my HP keyboard at work. Although louder, I wouldn't call the sound of the keys overly loud or annoying. As with everything else, the K780 will require some retraining, but I don't expect any problems. However, it's nice to have an expanded button layout. And so far everything has worked and I hope it will continue like this. I haven't used it long enough to confirm the battery life. One thing about the keyboard is that while it's light and not overly bulky, these features allow the keyboard to be noticeably responsive when pressed in the middle of the range. It's not a problem if you're typing and concentrating on the task at hand, but I'm wondering how longevity can be compromised. I'm sure it's a design compromise (my HP keyboard at work weighs significantly more) but I took a star off for that reason and rarely give 5 stars to anything. Overall, I love this keyboard and recommend it to anyone who wants a simple, basic wireless keyboard.
