My laptop is usually always on my desk and I rarely take it with me. But on one of the few occasions when I decided to work in a different room, I tripped while carrying my laptop and fell through a door, damaging the adapter that came with my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1500 series). . I ordered this adapter in June 2019 as a replacement. It worked fine initially, except it didn't connect to my laptop as tightly as the Dell adapter. Also it was found and did the job. But today I had to order another replacement adapter because for a few months this adapter has been doing what cables often do where they stop transmitting power because you touch it and then you have to shake it and bend the cable at different angles until You find it the sweet spot where it works. I really feel like this cable has no right to be damaged in this way considering I've only removed the cable from the table once, maybe twice in the year I have it and otherwise calmly aside I'm lying on the floor! The only times he worries is when my foot touches his or when I plug/unplug something else from the power strip it's plugged into. Imagine if I were someone on the go and kept stuffing this thing into laptop cases and stuff? But you get what you pay for, and if you're not willing to pay the extra $10 for a Dell-branded replacement adapter, this might help. . . For some time.
