This is an excellent rope for tree climbing. It is 10mm. I use it in a ddrt, or mrt, system with a hitch climber. For friction I use an 8mm eye-to-eye prusik. This rope ascends and descends well. It holds knots well: figure 8, double fisherman’s. I deciding would not write a recommendation until I had climbed with it at least 5 times. After 6 times I have zero complaints. It you take care when you’re flaking it it stays knot free and just simply works. Buy this rope it is a good value and in my experience it’s safe. With my gear I probably weigh over 275 lbs.
