I've been bleaching my hair since I was 11 years old. I am now 34 years old and I have never seen a product like this bleach and developer in my life! I AM SO HAPPY. I have level 5 natural brown hair and am even leaning towards level 4. Lightening is NOT easy. Over the years, it gradually darkens, as a result of which gray hairs appear at the root, and discoloration becomes almost impossible. I gave up blonde about 3 years ago because going through many shades of orange and trying to keep my hair intact was too much of a hassle. I even tried not coloring it at all for almost a year. BLEG. It was not nice. rzunimag. I ordered this and the bleach after watching about 475389734258 YouTube videos. I thought it might not be as good as it seems. LET YOU SAY. This set is a real find! Unreal. I usually use Sally's proprietary Quick Blue and Sally Builder, have always heard this is the best way to use it. Even after two whitening sessions, I never got the desired result. It was with a developer of 30-35 volumes! I used this Schwarzkopf 20 volume developer that comes with bleach. I first applied it to the middle and ends of my hair for 20 minutes, then added the bleach to the roots and worked it through the lengths to keep the bleach wet. I put everything on my head and put it under the grocery bag for another 20-25 minutes. I almost peed my pants taking off my bag haha. It was a YELLOW BANANA with VERY, VERY few golden orange streaks. I mean maybe 3 little spots that didn't turn banana yellow. It takes me THREE sessions of other bleaches and developers to get an accurate blonde color if I'm lucky. And even then, other bleaches are DESTROYING my hair. I knew it can be tinted from this level and was so happy. Instead of bleaching 3 spots (barely) darker, I layered Ash Level 8 Hair Color on top and held my breath while it worked its magic for another 20 minutes. Now I have the most beautiful ash blonde level 9! I'm excited. Can't wait to recommend this set to my best friend as she always has the same issues I have about staying blonde. GET IT, YOU WON'T REGRET IT. As long as I live I will never use a bleach kit again. Boy Scout Honor.
