The size is light enough to even handle water, it's actually easier to clean than the small 0.5 gallon and looks great from all angles. I like that one side is flat so you can lean against the wall and all the extras like the rod warmer and the new softer "weeds and pins" fit nicely inside. Now we see a lot more activity and movement from our fish. The tank is also equipped with a backlight that changes colors (one by one), plays them all in quick succession, or illuminates them in a gradual sequence that fades into each one. I can't get my husband to play this role. I just hope our fish enjoys the color change as much as he does. It's amazingly beautiful to look at and very easy to assemble for a non-expert like me (I assembled it in 5 minutes). Definitely a must have if you are looking for a small to medium tank.
