Unlike other toppers that reported an order after opening, this one had none. The foam rubber was in a zipped case and pulled over like a sheet - the edges are elastic and are simply tucked under the mattress. Stay in place. I put it on a hard mattress that was uncomfortable and he made it like a new mattress. The foam didn't take long to fully expand and was 3 inches thick as advertised. Bought it for $50. off, so the price was great too. But it's worth the price for excellent performance and comfort.
