UPDATE (March 2021) I have this food Bought for MANY years but recently their quality assurance has been extremely poor. The last 6 bags of dog food have 5 out of 6 Velcro missing! No, it's not like it fell off or didn't stick; It has never been applied to the pouch so it is not possible to seal the food. We saved the good bags so we could put the food from the bad bags into a resealable bag. SECOND. The food has CHANGED! Not only the recipe has changed, but also the format of the dish. Fiber, omega and everything else has gone down but the calories per CUP have INCREASED due to additional junk foods like sunflower seeds, potatoes, salt and oils so they have now changed/increased the amount of food your dog should be eating and this way, since the calories are denser you have to feed your dog MORE calories, more fat and more quantity just to try to get the same nutrition. The serving now requires at least 1/4 more plus a changed calorie density so a 15 pound small dog will now eat 111 more calories per meal so it doesn't take long to gain a pound if the dog and owner do nothing. and 1 pound is a large percentage of weight gain (about 7%). See photos of old and new labels. THIRD my dogs HATE it! This has NEVER happened! They always swallowed food. not only the taste has changed, but also the size (see photo). LARGE brown discs are original feed, small black round pebbles are new feed; which are 1/4 the size. They no longer have to chew their food and have tasted it, but spit it out on the floor. I've even tried mixing it and they just won't eat it. If you are lucky enough to get an OLD batch I still recommend it but the QUALITY is BAD now with the new lining! So I can't take any more food. Now it's just birdseed with sunflower, flaxseed, oils and blueberries. However, it contains so many chemicals that I'm not sure birds should eat it. ---------- --- ----Dogs love this food. They are very picky but swallow it easily.
