I bought this for a Halloween costume. It looks exactly like the photo and unlike other reviews, mine didn't stink. It will be wrinkled from shipping and probably not recommended to be machine washed. Spraying it on and hanging to dry should help with wrinkles. I'm only 4'11" but as it's only half a skirt I shouldn't trip over it as it wraps nicely around you as you walk. The strap is regular thick black elastic but if you want to dress it up, you can easily embellish it or add a belt in the front to hide it.I actually use a strip of fabric to cover up the tape and add it to my suit.Totally suitable for everyday use, not just for suits.
