I've had great results with a competitor's product but they didn't stock standard size tape which prompted me to try it as an alternative. They have a hydrocolloid gel pad in the center to cover the wound, but they rely on pathetic, poorly performing, transparent cellophane tape that peels off after a few hours. Without a permanent adhesive, they cannot seal out moisture, defeating the purpose of these bandages. They might be better at dealing with a wound in an area of the body that doesn't flex or be exposed to external moisture and friction, but I doubt it. I suggest using a competitor's product, their adhesive may leave marks that wash off. With soap and water, it's worth the extra money for a hydrocolloid dressing that really seals in 5-7 days.
