My impression of the purchase is good, buy it.

In comparison with his brother d3000, the ease of use has become better. But garlic - I chose the d3000 from the same pricing policy as a beginner, it is lighter in weight, and the image quality is a couple of milligrams better (-:
Total: for fans to shout about Canon and Nikon - in the same price policy nikon d3100 and canon 1000d whales - clearly lose nikon d3000 kit. this is IMHO.

Pros

Unlike its brother d3000, you can use the LCD display to take pictures. In addition, the video recording is of excellent quality! The new matrix uses much less energy, but makes noise if it is very hard to strain it (there is a slight difference in ccd and cmos matrices). And of course, more megapixels is for those who want to print A2 + photo size. Personally, I do not need this innovation

Cons

The disadvantages for me personally are the difference in the ccd and cmos matrices. I still prefer the ccd matrix. And if about the size - his brother d3000 has a slightly larger matrix, and therefore a slightly better image quality.
