Review on 🌬️ Friedrich Chill Premier 8000 BTU Smart Window Air Conditioner with WiFi, White by Cara Ruiz

18:30 UPDATE SIX (6) HOURS LATER ----- The seller/carrier (not Revain) has sent a prepaid call sign to cover the cost of shipping this air conditioner back to them. Thank you, Focus Camera, Inc. of North Brunswick Township, NJ. 10:30 am: At night, when you usually want to relax and go to bed, this new air conditioner was running at low fan speed. was pretty loud. Compared to three other window air conditioners we currently have. But for us, the low fan setting was very noisy at night. It's in our bedroom. There is slightly more noise during operation from the device itself as well as from the louder low fan setting. Also, the handheld remote is NOT backlit, so we have to sit down and turn on the lamp to make changes at night (spouse awake?). It's not good at all. We have a four year old Frigidaire AC in another room, an LG AC in another part of the house and this new Friedrich Chill Premier 8000 replaces a 10 year old Frigidaire AC. Both Frigidaire and LG units do NOT make that noise when running and certainly don't make that loud noise when the fan is running at low speed. I tried to send this back for a refund but found I had to pay for the return postage as it wasn't sent by Revain but by the seller/shipper themselves. I asked UPS for the "base price" that the seller quoted on the return authorization form, but from my 98103 zip code to his 08902 zip code, I will pay $148 and change. HOORAY! We are both retired and not exactly "too rich". Ha! So I called Revain and they contacted the carrier to see if they could make an exception in this case to send a prepaid return label or if they would agree to reimburse me for the return postage. The Revain rep I spoke to couldn't have been better. He said the carrier should speak to someone else in the hierarchy but give them 48 hours and they will email me back. God I hope you can help me here.
