I just recieved this, so, this is a mostly preliminary review.The material appears to be a fairly durable canvas material. The bag has a pleasurable density to it. The design is simple, and not overwhelming with pockets or buckles. I currently have about 350 pages and a notebook in it. I cannot imagine fitting a laptop larger than 13 inches into it. The measured 13.5" seems to be strictly of the bag itself, and not its capacity. The pictures imply that there is some sort of stability to the bag; there isn't.-EDIT-I've had the bag for a few months now and have used it during my time at a legal internship. I've bumped my review up to 4 stars as I've become quite fond of the bag. It is very durable, and my mac book pro fits snugly inside. However, I do like to keep the laptop sandwiched between papers or books due to the lack of protection.
