While this thing looks cool, it has a lanyard and mounting nuts (2 total) that you can see. THAT'S NOT GOOD Firstly, there is NO adjustable nut on the cam link and will NOT hold the tablet's weight, let alone the hood or other things you might need. So everything just tilts. What is the point of this connection? Bad design. The two collet nuts will NOT hold and are not designed to be easily and securely tightened. The tablet holder does not hold a tablet with a lid. It also doesn't hold the tablet very securely considering it's a heavy glass object. and that is without case. NO answer to your question. It does NOT hold the iPad in place. Not for a moment. This is not the vehicle you need.
