Freshness isn't an issue, but don't expect it to mask the smell.
Now why should I give it 5 stars for freshness, ease of use and value but only 3 overall. Smell boys. There's a lot more you need to do than just store your herbs in two plastic bags and put them in this jar. Even this will not prevent the smell from escaping the container, but after a whole month of storage my herbal substances remained in the best shape during the corona virus epidemic.
