I have several tankini tops and needed a bottom to go with them and this worked out very well. I love the length that covers up the unsightly tops of legs, yet not too long to look frumpy. The underpants are snug enough to pull in some of those bulges, but I love the flowing fabric that drapes around and makes it look like a skirt. I toggle between medium and large (5'5", 150 lbs) and went with the large which worked out well. I'm afraid the medium would of done some "fat squeezing" and overflow which is not pleasant looking. I only hand wash and rinse because I've had bad luck machine washing swim suits before and don't want to risk it. The basic black goes with most of my tops so I am able to use it a lot. I would recommend this as a basic bottom that is comfortable, modest and cute!
