I put it right next to my MIL so she doesn't have to fill the house with loud noises when the Right Price program is on. The plan was that we could have a lower volume as long as it was close to her head. For this purpose it is excellent. My plan worked! It's cheap chinese junk, but it works well and looks good. The problem is that when we *want* to run something, it doesn't get super loud. I have a device and a remote control. Maybe it's just me, but when I turn up the volume on the TV, this soundbar doesn't get any louder. Then we get sound from both, but it differs by a nanosecond, so there's a weird echo. So I have to keep our expensive soundbar at 0 while this unit is at 11. The remote control is a little cumbersome because you need to have line of sight. But it works fine, so we can turn it off during commercials.
