Not the best mount but might work for you

The hardware is cheap and the mount has screw holes recessed into the holes on the mount itself so you don't need a wrench can use to tighten on them. It just so happens that I don't have a size screw to use with my drill press, but I do have the right size ratchet wrench, but the recessed screw holes make it useless. I pre-drilled the holes and the bolted Phillips fitting wouldn't accept my drill bit, they snapped into the stud immediately. My wrench came in handy to get it out. I had my own bolts and they bolted with the washers that came with the mount with no problems. Aside from the awful hardware, my arm can't handle my 27 inch Acer monitor. I kept tightening it but no change. Luckily it's the perfect height when it's fully seated. My second monitor doesn't have a mount so I have a new 24 inch on the way and will update how it holds on my other hand. Don't think these arms can easily lift 14 pounds like they claim, but with some planning it can definitely work for you. I like a clean desk and don't see it as a waste of money, but I don't know if I recommend it. Know what you're buying and simply return it if you think it won't work for you after seeing it in action. Use your own wall hardware from the start so you don't have any problems sending back broken screws or anything. All other hardware should be easy to test on your monitor without fear of damage. Do not force the screws on the back of the monitor, everything should slide in easily.

Pros
  • Useful for more than intended purpose
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly
