The pillow is charming but its glow in the dark is questionable. I had to put this in a dark room to keep the glow effect to a minimum. I could hardly tell it was glowing at all. Nothing like the picture. It is unlikely to light up at all in the children's room, since most children have at least one small night light in the room. If you're just looking for a cute snuggly pillow this is a great choice, if you're looking for something that glows to soothe your baby when they wake up in the middle of the night, look elsewhere. The cushion is the size of a sofa cushion, is soft and invites you to cuddle. There was a slight smell from the bag, I left it overnight and in the morning it was gone.
