The balls were opaque - opaque - no problem. It would take a ton of those balls to fill the ball pit. I used these balls to fill a SMALL display. I was surprised how many balls (100) it took to fill the small display. They worked for my purpose but were expensive - $26 for 100 small balloons. They don't seem very strong when used as a marble pit, and filling the marble pit will cost you a fortune.
