We've been using this case almost every day for 6 months. Holds up very well. Build quality: All components work perfectly (keyboard, hinge, iPad is stuck). I can carry an iPad by the keyboard like a laptop. I love that I can fold the keyboard onto the back of the iPad and turn the keyboard off so the dimensions are the same as the iPad (great if you want to read something in portrait mode). The buttons are very responsive and the backlight options mean each member of the family can use whichever color they like (or turn it off). The extra function keys are very useful, especially for screen brightness, copy/paste, and volume. In addition, Command-Tab (like Alt-Tab on Windows) lets you easily switch between applications. The only downside is that Bluetooth seems a bit unreliable and slow. I had to delete and reconnect to my iPad multiple times. Even if you "wake up" the keyboard, it takes a few seconds to reconnect to the iPad. I usually just press one of the screen brightness buttons, wait for the blue link light to come on, then turn it off, and then I'm good to go. more like a laptop.
