Overall these bulbs are a very good replacement for 12V 20W halogen bulbs. From a technical point of view, there are some clarifications based on comments from other reviewers: 1. Lighting: Contrary to some reviews, these LEDs deliver a claimed warm white (3000K) color that mimics the original 20W halogen and a very similar light output delivers . Thus, replacing the LEDs results in very similar room lighting (measured with a lumen meter)2. Flickering: The possibility of light flickering after an LED replacement is primarily related to the fixture's power source, not the LED bulb. Halogen lamp power supplies were NOT designed to provide a constant "clean" output - this was not required and would have unnecessarily increased the price of the fixture. However, the quality of the power supply affects the illumination of the LED lamp. To minimize flicker in a multi-bulb fixture, it's a good idea to leave a few halogen bulbs in place. This should provide a sufficient load that "regulates" the power and reduces the flickering of the LED lamp. There are probably some lights with power supplies that are so loud that flickering is inevitable - in that case, stick with halogens or replace the light with a light designed specifically for LED lighting.
