Weak magnetic base
These coasters are good value for money but they don't stick to the base very well. This is because there is a "gap" between the magnet in the nail stand and the metal disc at the base. If a magnet could make physical contact with a metal disk, they would stick 200% better. I suspect they used a thinner disc to save on production costs.
