5 stars for the price. Outside as soft as velvety cotton. They swell up right after opening. I also like the option to remove some cotton. he likes them the way they are, maybe i'll take some because i have different pillows on the bed and i like to put my head in them. I'm pleasantly surprised at how well they hold up though. I have all the feather or chopped memory foam/bamboo pillows and they unfold easily so are great for an inexpensive cotton filled pillow. I also have allergies so I love anything hypoallergenic. I have a queen, she just fits in a standard case, FYI. Photos attached
