Review on Sonic Unleashed for PlayStation 3 by Jnis Muinieks ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Satisfied with the product, I recommend it to everyone.

This game is definitely worth playing. This is the first game that gave us a boost, of course a kosyachny one, but it played very well for a pen test, given that the developers made sure that we did not abuse the boost. As for the music, I can't say as a professional, but honestly, it sounds perfect to me. I hope now will release something similar for the 30th anniversary of the hedgehog .

Pros
  • - Although the game was released in 2022, the graphics are very pleasing to the eye. - Although the game is rotten because of the unnecessary top, as for me, it dilutes the high-speed sections for sonic. - Even if we talk about boost gameplay, the game will still not let you always hold the boost button, because there will always be a trick like spikes or abysses. Otherwise, the game gives any kind of difficulty. - Exploring the levels for any cutscenes, music, even CGI mini-cartoons separate from the game can even seem quite interesting. - World hub. This is more of a personal plus, as I loved the hub worlds from sonic adventure and sonic the hedgegog 2022, they added at least some kind of environment where you can relax and listen to calm music.
Cons
  • - Ability to Air Boost and assign homing attacks to one button. Honestly, what kind of sadist did this, why? The homing has always been on the jump button, and now suddenly on the boost button, this boost ability during the jump can also fail VERY badly and in most cases you will fly into the abyss. - I can forgive medals at night levels, because these are more exploratory and slow levels, but at daytime levels it’s too much for me, I understand if they came across during quick step moments or in QTE places, but no, these medals are hidden in those places where you do not need to run and have fun, but roam the level. (At least the levels are beautiful) - Optimization. Relatively good, but also bad, boxing has a limit of 30 frames, but sometimes you feel a little lag, especially when the camera looks at foliage, grass, and so on.
