Excellent quality! I ordered it in brown and am happy with how it looks - very stylish. I read about the smell: it smelled slightly from the packaging, like the inside of a new car, but the smell was imperceptible during the day. To close the magnet: The magnet should not be kept closed but should trigger the sensor. That works great. The lid doesn't close completely when placed correctly, but that's enough for the iPad to recognize this and switch off the display. After a week of use, the material in the folds became more flexible and now closes normally by itself. For now, just place it with the Apple logo facing up. The weight of your iPad keeps it tightly closed. Of course, the elastic band keeps it closed at all times. It holds my iPad securely in place and all the cutouts match up perfectly. If there's one downside, it's the lack of a pen holder. Of course it was the first thing to wear out on my last suitcase and all my shirts have pockets good for pens, pencils and pens. All in all I think I got more than my money's worth. It's just a very good product.
