I like bone conduction headphones. No in-ear or on-ear headphones, but an alternative to both. The sound bypasses the eardrum and goes straight into the inner ear. Eardrums can be damaged by prolonged exposure to loud music played through earbuds or on-ear headphones, meaning if you enjoy listening to heavy music at high volume, you minimize the risk of eardrum damage! Another thing is that with bone conduction headphones, you can listen to your music (or audiobooks or whatever) and hear your kids play (or fight) at the same time. If you are a runner you may hear traffic or other runners. around you and I know this is the only style you can wear while swimming. They will stay and you can swim in the pool and hear your tunes! Now for the part I'm having trouble with. I have another bone conduction pair referred to as this one - an MP3 player AND a Bluetooth enabled device so you can connect to Revain Music for example and listen to a "station" (I like 80's rock). I sometimes have trouble switching between an MP3 player and Bluetooth so I can connect to the Pandora, Spotify or Apple Music apps on my phone. That being said, bone conduction headphones have very good uses including this one.
