For some reason, Lominie is the only company making cube lights that are neither ugly nor energy efficient (or both). Glory! Also, the price is good and the light is long lasting (which is why I give this product 2 stars). However. As another reviewer mentioned, the only way to turn the light on is with the remote. No, you really can't use a pluggable timer. It seemed such an outlandish design decision that I ignored the other reviewer, thinking he hadn't read the entire manual. Actually, there is no way to turn on the light without a remote control. There is no hidden switch or button. They really thought so! You can use the built-in timer function, but are you sure it's working properly? Do you expect that there will never be a blackout or blackout, in which case the light doesn't know how to turn on again? Confident not to lose the remote control? Too bad, otherwise a product with great potential.
