I recently bought a vintage Sputnik chandelier and was unhappy with the 'traditional' bulbs in it. They had too much glare to be comfortable on the eyes. My 13-year-old daughter (aka my interior designer) suggested Edison filament bulbs with a reflector to match the fixture's brass. Having not made a home decor decision of my own since Papa Bush's presidency, I gave in and found these lightbulbs. Ideal. They light up all corners of the room and don't have the brilliance of traditional light bulbs. The color temperature appears to be around 3000K (vs. 2700). They do NOT dim (not a problem for me) but it's not clear from the advert. I don't know longevity. I've found that Chinese lightbulbs with no names are generally not good. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. So far this light bulb "victory".
