The photos of this stump show that it can be used for multiple purposes: storage, sitting and stepping on. Very bad storage as it is quite small. Bucket capacity can be 3-4 gallons. When the lid is off, everything looks like it's about to collapse back in on itself. DO NOT STAND ON IT. While attempting to fully test this item as shown on the product page, I stepped on it and fell without serious injury. It has a maximum support of 220 pounds, but I weigh 50 pounds less than them and failed. So the weight is probably based on a 220-pound adult sitting on it, not standing. As a stool, I can sit on it and have no problems. The top is so slightly soft it feels like I'm sitting on an upside down bucket. For kids this would probably be a nice stool to sit on, if you had decor to match the tree stump in the middle of the playroom it would be really fun. Overall I think the current price is around $29.99 considering the quality of this site. You don't have to stand on it, and it doesn't really have much storage space, so you're really just paying for a decorative stool, a plastic stool that isn't very durable.
