. So I figured I just needed to replace the power cord and not the whole charger. I chose this because you will never have a charger that is too long. It worked. Since then, my charger is no longer fickle! The only issue I have is that it doesn't charge right away, which I attribute to the length of the cable. It just takes a little longer for the power to reach the laptop, but my laptop still charges as fast as usual. It's also a tighter fit than the original power cord, but that might be because it's brand new. My charger is fine, so these minor issues should be normal.
