Review on 🕺 Fossil Men's Gen 5 Garrett Smartwatch: Speaker, Heart Rate, GPS, Contactless Payments, Notifications by Mike Johnston

Overall I really like this watch. I had a 2nd Gen Fossil and to be honest it was so bad it almost put me off buying it again. But I'm glad I gave him another chance. Based on the numbers, Generation 5 is light years away from Generation 2 and the improvements are significant. My only gripe is with this phone's fitness tracking. The Google Fit app doesn't sync with my phone at all and my watch is usually half a mile slower than my phone every day. In addition to the mileage, my steps and movement minutes are always switched off. I've reset the watch, reinstalled the app with all the settings I could find, and even bought a new phone in the meantime, but tracking is always disabled. Since the stats are so different from my phone's, I can never be sure if my phone is being tracked in any way or the watch is being tracked. That makes it hard to trust and really know what my work is like. and since the main reason people tend to buy smartwatches is related to fitness, this is a minor stumbling block. Battery life is surprisingly good, voice text works well, messaging and email are fast, and music controls are excellent. I like NFC.
