Reusable cotton pads come in a recyclable brown box. Contains 16 cotton pads, 4 cotton pads tied with string. One mesh bag is for storage and the other for a used cotton pad to toss in the wash. Cotton pads are soft, but not as soft and pliable as regular cotton pads, but what I like about them is that they don't pill like cheap cotton pads. This is great if you want long-term value for money. One side is soft like a cotton pad and the other has a velvety texture for makeup removal that is beautiful and almost identical to a facial tissue. What I don't like about the regular cotton pad is that it picks up too much toner and I feel like it picks up too much liquid which doesn't allow you to use much liquid from the pad compared to a regular cotton pad. who i love continue to use until the liquid is gone. As for washing the cotton pad, I usually just hand wash it and lay it flat to dry. As an alternative to the handkerchief, I can also use a 1/2 cotton pad in the summer because my face sweats a little to cool me down.
